Double-axial resonance

A condition in which two resonances occur close together, with each having the characteristics of an axial resonance. However, the resonances will have opposite amplitude distributions. Double-axial resonances occur most often in bar horns that have imbalance. Removing the imbalance will cause the two resonances to merge into a single axial resonance.
