Introduction
This site provides practical assistance for designing ultrasonic resonators, typically in the frequency range between 10 kHz (10,000 cycles/sec) and 70 kHz (70,000 cylces/sec). These resonators include horns/sonotrodes/probes, boosters, and transducers/converters for industrial and surgical/therapeutic medical applications. Design topics are listed on the Contents page.
Notes:
- This site is for power resonators (those which significantly affect the load). It is not intended for diagnostic-inspection resonators (those which do not significantly affect the load and typically have a resonant frequency > 1 MHz).
- Important:
- Please read the notes.
- In order for the menus to operate properly and the equations to display properly, you must allow ActiveX and/or scripts to run.
