Rigid mount

An assembly that supports the stack and isolates it from the supporting structure by using members (often tuned) that have high stiffness (unlike designs that use compliant members -- e.g., O-rings). Because a rigid mount assembly has very little deflection under load, it is used where the stack is subjected to high loads and where precise alignment is required.

Rigid mounts include:
Elmore mount
Polar mount

See rigid mount booster.
